Joy Comes in All Shapes and Sizes: Welcome and Introduction

Hi! For those of you who don't know me. My name is Lora Joy Adzima. I go by Lora-Joy :)

I have started this blog to share my life with others. This blog will mainly be about the joys in my life, which are; my family (my husband, Andy and my 2 boys Avery-15 and Landon-13), my amazing job (I am a Speech Language Specialist in Knox County Schools in Knoxville, TN) and all things speech and language, Essential Oils (I have just started learning how awesome these are and so healthy!), some photography, life with my friends, outdoor adventures (we love kayaking and hiking) and our travels (don't get too excited- we don't travel much, but we tend to do some fun little trips here and there) and any other happenings in our life.

I will start this first post with introducing my family. I love them so very much! They are one of my greatest joys in life!!!

This is Andy, my soul mate. He is my best friend and confidante. We love being together! He is a Music Teacher in an inner city Elementary School here in Knoxville. He also is a percussionist for the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. He loves hiking and kayaking! He is good at almost everything. He is my handyman, my direction man (I am horrible at directions), an awesome cook, gardener, tech guy, etc. He really as good at everything! I am so blessed with him. He is a gift from God!

This is Avery. He is 15 and will be a Sophomore this year at Berean Christian School. He is such a joy! He is funny, smart, GREAT with kids, LOVES everything soccer, has a heart for God, compassionate, loves techie stuff, he loves MUSIC and always has his earbuds in, he also loves video games, is a junk food eater, adults love to have conversations with him-he's just fun to talk to, and is just a great young man. I love being around him!

This is Landon. He is 13 and will be in the 8th grade at Berean Christian School. He is a character! He definitely is his own self! He LOVES vinyl. He has over 100 records now. He has a turntable, cassette deck, receiver and awesome speakers. He loves classic rock and roll, but all kinds of other music also. He loves to go antiquing and thrifting (this is one of our favorite things to do together), he is a great artist and loves architecture. He is so very funny. He is very laid back. He also LOVES kayaking! He is an amazing kid! He has been through a lot in his life. He has a life threatening disease, Addison's Disease (more about that at another time). He has had to grow up in ways that most kids don't, so he has a maturity about him that draws him to people. He is an awesome young man! Oh and he LOVES to eat!!!
